Actor Vijay Deverakonda is elated that a song from his film Geetha Govindam has made its way to the official Olympics Instagram page. The page shared a video featuring a mashup of the song Inkem Inkem from the movie and Drake’s Hotline Bling, set against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower adorned with Olympic rings. The video, captioned "Who likes the Eiffel Tower’s new look? Paris is getting ready for next month’s Olympic Games," delighted fans and showcased the song’s lasting popularity.

Deverakonda expressed his excitement on Instagram, sharing the video and celebrating the song’s enduring appeal. Fans were equally thrilled, with one commenting, “We got Olympics using a Telugu song before GTA 6,” and another stating, “Haha Olympics targeting the biggest audience in the world.”

Geetha Govindam, released in 2018 and directed by Parasuram Petla, starred Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna. The film was a massive hit, and its songs remain popular to this day. Vijay's recent release with Mrunal Thakur, The Family Star, didn’t replicate the same level of achievement.

Recently, Vijay and Rashmika celebrated another milestone with their film Dear Comrade, which has garnered over 400 million views on YouTube. Although the 2019 release didn’t perform well at the box office, it found a substantial audience online.

Vijay shared a throwback photo from the sets of Dear Comrade on Instagram to commemorate this achievement, writing, “400 million of you saw it. Dear Comrade – from the sadness we felt on the day of release in 2019 to the immense love we have for the film till today. Dear Comrade is a film I loved making, a story I loved telling.”
