New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Actor Sanjay Dutt, who is all set to feature in periodical drama Panipat starring Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. Recently, he made his presence the comical 'Kapil Sharma Show' with Kriti to promote the film. As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, the actor was enquired about his 308 girlfriends (by host Kapil), depicted in his biopic Sanju-- released last year with Ranbir Kapoor playing the lead role. In reply, the actor joked that he still has to keep a count as Kriti's performance has impressed him a lot and she can easily become his 309th girlfriend.
Kriti will be seen playing the role of Sadashiv Rao (played by Arjun), while Sanjay plays the role of an antagonist Ahmad Shah Abdali in Panipat. The duo were accompanied by director Ashutosh Gowariker on the TV reality show that yet to air, the report added.
Talking about Sanjay's role in his periodical drama, Kriti in a recent interview said that the latter is someone who cannot see his woman weak. "He has made Parvati Bai as someone who fights and can protect her women and her people if the need be. Giving that power to her, giving that stature to her is very empowering. When you get to play such a character, you just feel proud,” Sanon said as quoted by IANS.
The film depicts the third battle of Panipat fought between the Marathas and Afghan in 1761. The film also stars Zeenat Aman, Padmini Kolhapure and Suhasini Mulay in key roles. The film is slated to be released on December 6 besides Tanhaji.
To inform it was depicted that Sanju Dutt had 308 girlfriends in his movie Sanju that was a box office hit. Apart from Ranbir, it also featured Sonam Kapoor, Karishma Tanna and Dia Mirza and Anushka Sharma.
