Rebel Twitter Review: The maiden directorial project of Nikesh RS, titled 'Rebel,' featuring GV Prakash Kumar in a political action-oriented role, hit theaters on March 22 (Friday). Mamitha Baiju takes on the role of the female lead in the movie. Set in a college in Chittur, Palakkad, the narrative revolves around Kadhir (played by Prakash), one of the few Tamil students at the predominantly Malayali college, who develops feelings for Mamitha's character. Initially, everything seems to be peaceful, but the tranquility is shattered by a sudden eruption of violence between Malayalis and Tamils.
The glimpses provided hint at a manipulative scheme by politicians to exacerbate tensions between the two communities for electoral gains. As tensions rise, Kadhir emerges as the 'rebel,' compelled to stand up for his fellow Tamils and seek justice. Those who have watched the film, are here with the reviews, a user wrote, "#Rebel is a very well made, intense and an interesting film.
