Rekha made her presence known to convey her affection and this time it was for Agastya Nanda. The 25-year-old is Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya's grandson, who will make his theatrical debut with Ikkis. Agastya plays Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal in the upcoming war film, which also stars late legendary actor Dharmendra. For the unversed, Arun Khetarpal is a real-life Indian Army officer who was awarded the Param Vir Chakra at the youngest age for his exceptional valour during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War.
Rekha, the renowned Bollywood star graced the Ikkis screening event in Mumbai on Monday, December 29, with her distinct charm and poise. She kissed Agastya's face on the poster as she walked into the event, looking stunning in a Banarasi saree, and then posed for the photographers.

Rekha's video from the screening went viral, leaving many divided with her behaviour. A user wrote, "She might care for Big B but doing all this publicly feels too much." Another user wrote, "She looks like the real nani." A third person wrote, "All this is so extra, not needed at all." Many dropped heart and fire emojis for Rekha's look.
Rekha then honoured Dharmendra as she stood near his poster at the screening. The late, renowned actor plays a crucial part in Ikkis, demonstrating his stature alongside the younger actors. Unfortunately, the war drama was his last endeavor before he died on November 24, 2025, from age-related ailment. Sunny and Bobby Deol, Dharmendra's sons, attended the special screening to commemorate their father's last on-screen performance.

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan praised his grandson Agastya's performance after seeing the movie at a prior screening. He wrote in his blog - "Emotions flow.. As do they tonight when you witness the grandson excel in IKKIS .. the time when his Mother, Shweta is being rushed to Breach Candy Hospital as she encounters final labour pains .. his birth .. holding him barely a few hours later, and discussing whether his eyes were blue .. to the time when he grew a bit and holding him in my arms, and he fiddles with my beard .. to his growth .. to the final personal decision of his to be an actor, and tonight to see him in frame, unable to take my eyes off each time he fills the frames of the film."
About Ikkis
Ikkis, which is directed by Sriram Raghavan, is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient, and centers on his involvement in the India-Pakistan war of 1971. Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Simar Bhatia are among the actors in the movie.
Ikkis was originally scheduled for release on Christmas, but due to Dhurandhar's unprecedented box office success, it was rescheduled for the New Year. Dinesh Vijan, the film's producer, concurred that Ikkis required room at the ticket booth.
