Rekhachithram Box Office Report: Asif Ali and Anaswara Rajan starrer Malayalam mystery crime thriller released in theatres on January 9 and received positive responses from the audience and the critics. Despite positive reviews, the film had a decent collection at the box office. The movie opened on a low note but saw a slight jump on its first weekend. However, the movie continued to collect in lakhs for 35 days in a row and ran on a moderate note in theatres. Rekhachithram became the first Malayalam movie to cross Rs 50 crore worldwide in 2025. The audience now currently waiting for its OTT release which is reportedly to start streaming in March. However, there is no confirmation yet about the same yet from the makers. As per Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 0.01 crore on Day 35. The net collection of Rekhachithram stands at Rs 26.43 crore and the worldwide collection is Rs 55.17 crore. The Indian gross collection of Asif Ali’s Malayalam movie is Rs 30.87 crore. The overseas collection of Rekhachithram is Rs 24.3 crore.

Second Week Collection: Rs 6.1 crore

Third Week Collection: Rs 2.27 crore

Fourth Week Collection: Rs 0.71 crore

Rekhachithram Budget

According to several media reports, the movie was made on a budget of around Rs 6 to 9 crore. The exact figure has not been announced yet. The movie successfully outperformed the budget mark in its first week. 

About Rekhachithram

The story focuses on a suspended cop named Vivek Gopinath, who rejoins the station after a gambling scandal. He has been given a task to solve a 40-year-old murder case with a faceless victim. The cop gives his everything to solve the long pending case. The movie stars Asif Ali, Anaswara Rajan, Jagadish, Bhama Arun, Siddique and Harisree Ashokan in key roles. Rekhachithram has been directed by Jofin T. Chacko and produced by Venu Kunnappilly and Anto Joseph.

As per reports, Rekhachithram will be streaming on the popular OTT platform SonyLIV. The exact date has not been announced yet.
