Rekhachithram OTT Release: Malayalam blockbuster movie Rekhachithram, starring Asif Ali in lead role, is one of the most awaited movies on OTT. The film made its theatrical debut on January 9, 2025, and was met with an overwhelmingly positive response from critics. Its impressive box office performance has earned it the distinction of being the highest-grossing Malayalam movie of 2025 thus far, with worldwide earnings exceeding Rs 55 crore. Rekhachithram OTT Release

Neither on Netflix nor on Prime Video, Rekhachithram is set to make its highly anticipated OTT debut on SonyLIV on March 7. Furthermore, the Malayalam film will also be available in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, catering to a broader audience and expanding its reach.

About the movie: Directed by the talented Jofin T. Chacko and scripted by John Manthrikal, the film is based on an intriguing story by Ramu Sunil. The movie has been produced by Kavya Film Company and Ann Mega Media, bringing together a stellar cast, including Asif Ali and Anaswara Rajan, alongside seasoned actors Mammootty, Manoj K. Jayan, Siddique, Jagadish, Saikumar, Harisree Ashokan and Indrans.

The story unfolds in Malakkappara, where Vivek, played by Asif Ali, rejoins as the Station House Officer (SHO) and takes charge of a complex suicide case involving Rajendran. As Vivek delves deeper into the investigation, he discovers that Rajendran had revealed details about a crime he had committed years ago. This revelation sets off a chain of events, leading to the disappearance of a young girl from the filming location of the iconic 1985 film, Kathodu Kathoram, directed by Bharathan. As the mystery deepens, Vivek must navigate through a complex web of secrets and lies to uncover the truth.

The filming of Rekhachithram commenced on May 3, 2024 and was wrapped up on July 15, 2024. The title of the film was officially announced on August 13, 2024. The soundtrack and score have been composed by Mujeeb Majeed, with Shameer Muhammed handling the editing and Appu Prabhakar expertly capturing the visuals.
