Rekhachithram OTT Release (Telugu): The Malayalam mystery crime thriller Rekhachithram was released on January 9, 2025. The movie, which was directed by Jofin T. Chacko, was a box office hit and a theatrical success. Rekhachithram, which stars Asif Ali, was just released digitally in SonyLIV. It will shortly be released exclusively in Telugu. Yes, you read that right!

Rekhachithram, which opened to positive reviews in theaters, had a budget of roughly Rs 6–9 crore and made about Rs 57.30 crore at the box office. The movie will begin to stream on Aha on March 14, 2025. In an effort to reach more Telugu-speaking fans, the Asif Ali movie will only be accessible in Telugu.

Rekhachithram had a slow start, but its first weekend witnessed a small uptick. Nevertheless, the film ran on a mediocre note in theaters and kept earning lakhs of rupees for 35 consecutive days. In 2025, the Malayalam crime thriller became the first Malayalam film to earn over Rs 50 crore globally.

Rekhachithram Movie Cast And Plot Details

Manoj K Jayan, Siddique, Saikumar, and Harishree Ashokan are also featured in Rekhachithram, while Jagadish makes a lengthy cameo appearance in Malayalam mystery crime thriller.

The narrative of Rekhachithram centers on CI Vivek, who, following a suspension, gets restored in Malakkappara. When Rajendran admitted to burying a female in 1985 before killing himself, he took over the case. Vivek discovers a female skeleton and an anklet while doing the examination. Rekha, a young artist in Kathodu Kathoram, is identified as the missing girl by Chandrappan, a former production controller, whom he finds during his quest.

Vivek's move is guaranteed once Vincent, a strong industrialist, destroys Chandrappan. But Vivek doesn't give up and finds out from a nun named Stephy that Rekha had been at their convent before going missing. As he looks further, he finds that she was murdered by Vincent and his wife, Pushpam. Before his imprisonment, Vincent murders Pushpam to spare his son embarrassment.

Rekha's identity is cleared after Vivek eventually finds Asha, Rekha's sister, in Kanyakumari. Rekha admired Mammootty, and he gives Asha his autograph. In the post-credits sequence, a young Rekha notices a casting call for a K.G. George-directed Mammootty movie.
