Netflix's series 'Heeramandi' has become one of the most popular Indian series worldwide and has been receiving a lot of love and appreciation from the audience. Amid all the praise for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's OTT debut, Sharmin Segal received criticism for her portrayal of Alamzeb in the show. Richa Chadha, who played Lajjo in the series, came into Sharmin's defence and asked netizens not to troll her and offer constructive criticism if they have opinions.
Richa wrote on Instagram, "Guys? Offer constructive criticism, but this much visceral hate? It's one thing to reject someone's performance, theek hai! Mat karo pasand, aapka haq hai. Par aise chatkare le ke troll to mat karo? Please? Out-of-context interview clips (that too from a legit roast, y'all are using). Why?”
She added, "A big election just happened, there's a heat wave on, there's so much going on in the world! Please move on?”
The second season of 'Heeramandi' has also been announced by Netflix. Sanjay Leela Bhansali expresses his gratitude for the success of Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, saying, “I'm blessed by the love and appreciation for Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. It's been a joy to see the show resonate with audiences worldwide, and I couldn't have asked for a better partner than Netflix. I’m happy to announce that we’ll be back with season 2!"
