SonyLIV creation 'Rocket Boys 2' is making an epic comeback with ambitious scientists Homi Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai in the running waiting to kickstart India's nuclear energy and space programs.

Starring Jim Sarbh as Homi Bhabha and Ishwak Singh as Sarabhai, the series also stars Regina Cassandra as Mrinalini Sarabhai, Saba Azad as Homi Bhabha's lover Pipsy, while Arjun Radhakrishanan depicts the role of APJ Abdul Kalam. The series is directed by Abhay Pannu and is co-written by Abhay Koranne and Pannu.

Season 2 explores India's secret mission to test its first nuclear bomb in the state of Rajasthan on the D-date of May 18, 1974, under Indira Gandhi's rule. The show is set to premiere on March 16 on SonyLIV, which also examines Homi Bhabha's death in a plane crash in 1966.

The first teaser of the show was shared on February 12, 2023, and received a massive chunk of over 26 million views and nearly 10,000 likes now. Thus, the release of the official trailer raised the thickness in the air, where the makers and cast of the web series have taken it to their social media handles looking forward to 'Rocket Boys 2.'

The first season of the web series revolved around Dr. Homi Jehangir and Dr. Vikram Ambalal Sarabhai, who are two extraordinary men, who created history while building India's future.

The YouTube trailer for 'Rocket Boys Season 2' gives an insight into the expectations of the series. The trailer release read, "Amidst global conflict and enemies charging our borders, India becoming a nuclear nation was the only deterrent to imminent threats of war."

Also, in season 2, the audience will witness the incredible journey of two of India's greatest scientists as they focus on carving a new shape of a new era where no one dares challenge the country's sovereignty.
