Rohit Purohit Opens Up On Family Pressure Of Having A Baby With Sheena Bajaj; Says ‘My Parents Have Expectations’

Rohit Purohit, who rose to fame with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, recently opened up about his family's pressure on baby plans. He got hitched to Best of Luck Nikki's actress Sheena Bajaj in 2019. They met on the sets of the 2012 show Arjun and became friends. Their friendship soon blossomed into love which led to their marriage.  The actor said that his parents have expectations to start a family now. He also stated that his parents understand the reason behind taking time as they (Rohit and Sheena) have aspirations to achieve a few things in their careers before starting a family on their own. 

In an interview with ETimes, Rohit said “I won’t call it pressure but my parents do have expectations. Because now what they want. My dad is retired and my mother is a housewife, they stay in Jaipur, so they expect me to start a family. But it did happen once when there was pressure on us. The expectation was converting into pressure but now we all are on the same page. They understand now that we want to take some time and want to achieve a few things in life. So now they don’t put any kind of pressure. They have left the decision on us and have told us that it’s your life, you decide when you want to have to start a family. There is no pressure at all.”
