Roshan Mathew known for his performance in Darlings, has recently opened up about his Ulajh costars Janhvi Kapoor and Gulshan Devaiah. He said that Janhvi is a committed actor, who wants to get better with every scene. Roshan further highlighted that the actress has a good energy to work with and also mentioned that it was a delightful experience to work with her. He shared that he had a lot of respect for Gulshan and wanted to work with him again on another project. 

In an interview with India Today, Roshan said “Janhvi and Gulshan are my co-actors in it. I have most of my scenes with Janhvi, and Gulshan is someone I have a lot of respect for. I feel like I just got a taste of him, and I want to do another project with him. Janhvi was an absolute delight to work with because she is so committed to getting the best version of the scene out there.”

“With each day, with each moment we were playing out, she wanted to get better. She’s constantly looking for ‘what else can we do’ to make this better and make it more powerful, and that’s a good energy to work with,” he added. 

Earlier, Janhvi Kapoor said in a statement, “When I was approached with the script of Ulajh, it instantly attracted me because as an actor, I am constantly looking for scripts that make me break out of my comfort zone and portraying a character based in the celebrated world of the Indian Foreign Services was just that. Just as the name of the film suggests, my character and the story, has so many layers, emotions, and parameters, which is challenging and exciting at the same time. I am thrilled for the audience to see me in this new role envisioned by Sudhanshu, who has such a fresh approach towards dealing with this genre. I am also looking forward to work with such talented co-actors and a development studio like Junglee Pictures for the first time.”

Ulajh also stars Meiyang Chang, Rajendra Gupta, Sachin Khedekar, Rajesh Tailang and Adil Hussain in key roles. Directed by Sudhanshu Saria, the movie is all set to release in theatres on 2nd August.
