Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was taken to Lilavati Hospital in an autorickshaw on January 16 after he was attacked by an intruder in a robbery attempt at his Bandra residence. The auto driver recently shared that he would never ask for a reward but happily accept it if offered. He also declined to refuse the amount he has been reportedly given by Saif Ali Khan after his discharge. The auto driver also mentioned that Saif asked him not share any details about the same.

In an interview with PTI, the auto driver named Rana said “Maang toh nahi raha magar agar unki ichcha hogi aur dena chahenge toh le lunga. Maine kabhi nahi kaha ki maine jo kiya hai uske liye mujhey kuch mile ya main uss cheez ke liye laalach kar raha hu. (I'm not asking for it, but if he chooses to gift it, I would gladly accept. I never claimed that I deserve any reward for what I did, nor am I doing this out of greed).”

There were several reports that suggest that Saif Ali Khan met the auto driver after being discharged from the hospital and gave Rs 50,000 as a reward for his help. In the same interview, he refused to disclose the amount and said, “I have promised to him (Saif), and I will stick to it. Let people speculate about it. Let people say that he (Saif) gave me Rs 50,000 or Rs 1,00,000, but I would not like to reveal the amount. He has requested me not to share this information and I’ll keep my promise to him. Whatever it is, it is between him and me.”

Saif Ali Khan met the auto driver on January 21 before he was discharged from the hospital. The actor hugged Rana and shared his gratitude towards him. As per reports, Saif also introduced him to his mother Sharmila Tagore after which Rana touched her feet.
