A major update came across in the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case, Mumbai Police suspect that the intruder, who attempted robbery and stabbed the actor, earlier tried to burglar Shah Rukh Khan's residence. As per reports, the thief could not barge inside SRK’s residence because of high security. After the attack on Saif Ali Khan, Mumbai police also visited Shah Rukh’s residence Mannat to investigate this matter further. The report further suggested that the police source claimed suspicious movement near Mannat on January 14. According to reports by India Today, a person was seen observing the premises by placing a 6-8 feet long iron ladder at the rear side of the retreat house adjacent to SRK's residence. Now, police suspect that it could be the same person who attempted robbery at Saif's Bandra residence.
The CCTV footage which has been recovered from Mannat showed that the man has the same height and a similar resemblance to who was seen in footage of Saif's case. The report further claimed that the thief is unlikely to act alone. It also said that the iron ladder placed at SRK's residence was too heavy to be handled by a single person. Shah Rukh Khan has not filed a complaint regarding the matter. Notably, the suspect in Saif Ali Khan’s case has been arrested and taken into police custody by Bandra Police this morning. The suspect was last seen near Bandra railway station where he was caught by the police.
Saif is currently admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. He underwent two surgeries on Thursday and is in stable condition. As per a statement shared by Jeh’s nanny to the police, who was also attacked by the thief said that he demanded Rs 1 crore. She also stated that she was attacked by the intruder. The investigation is currently on in this matter.
