Saif Ali Khan has been making headlines after a clip went viral, creating a buzz on social media. In a conversation with his Jewel Thief co-star Jaideep Ahlawat, the actor spoke about his son Taimur's reaction to his film Adipurush. The conversation quickly sparked speculation that Saif had apologized to his son for making him watch the film, with some users believing that Taimur didn’t enjoy it. Saif has now cleared the air about his viral statement.
Saif Ali Khan Issues Statement on apologising to Taimur for Adipurush
In a statement, Saif said, "I apologised to Tim for being the evil villain in the film. I was growling and smashing everyone in sight! He said next time you should play the hero. I stand by all my films, and this one too." In the movie Adipurush, Saif played the role of Lankesh, a character based on Ravana.
Saif Ali Khan And Taimur's reaction to Adipurush
In the Netflix segment, when Jaideep Ahlawat asked Saif Ali Khan if his kids watch his films. To this, Devara actor mentioned showing his 9-year-old son Taimur the film and revealed his reaction to it. He said, “Because I have done different characters. Sometimes it has been a bad guy. So then they ask me ‘Are you a good guy or a bad guy?’ I just showed him Adipurush recently. Then, after a while, he started giving me a look. Then I said, ‘Yeah, sorry.’ He said, ‘It’s okay.’ He forgave me." His statement instantly went viral and opened the debate online.
About Adipurush: The mythological action film inspired by the Hindu epic Ramayana, was brought to screens by director Om Raut. Besides Saif, the movie starred Prabhas in the role of Lord Ram and Kriti Sanon as Sita. The film with cinematic visual effects aimed to retell the ancient tale with a modern twist but ended up receiving a negative response from the audience.
Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan is garnering praise for his performance in Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins, which is streaming on Netflix from April 25.
