Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has been discharged from Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after undergoing two surgeries following an attack on January 16, 2025, at his residence in Bandra. Saif Ali Khan was papped for the first time as he headed home six days after the attack amid tight security. 

Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his residence in Bandra while trying to protect his family. He sustained multiple stab wounds from a knife during the incident. Since then, he has received widespread support and praise from several celebrities, including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Dutt, as he recuperated in the hospital. His sister, Soha Ali Khan, had also provided an update on his condition, stating that he is recovering well.

His wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, was seen outside the hospital alongside Saif's daughter, Sara Ali Khan. Earlier, Kareena had been spotted leaving their home to arrive at the hospital for Saif's discharge.

Saif Ali Khan underwent two surgeries to treat injuries near his spinal cord. One of the injuries was just 2 mm away from the spinal cord, leading to the release of spinal fluid, for which he required plastic surgery. Additionally, he had surgery for injuries to his arm and neck. The incident has left the film fraternity and the public in shock, raising concerns about law and order in Mumbai.

The attack was carried out by a Bangladeshi national named Shariful Islam Shehzad, who was arrested by the police. Earlier today, he was brought to the actor's residence in Bandra to reenact the crime as part of the investigation.
