Saif Ali Khan Stabbed: The Bollywood actor was attacked after an intruder barged into his Bandra house on the wee hours of Thursday. As per reports, Kareena Kapoor called Saif’s eldest son Ibrahim Ali Khan about the incident. The 23 year old along with his mother Amrita Singh rushed to Saif’s residence. Due to lack of unavailability of driver, Ibrahim took an autorickshaw to carry his injured father to the hospital in bleeding condition. Saif then was admitted to Lilavati Hospital which is two kilometers away from Saif's Bandra residence.

In a statement shared to the media, Dr Nitin Dange, who operated Saif, said “Saif Ali Khan was admitted to the hospital at 2 am with an alleged history of assault by some unknown person. He sustained a major injury to the thoracic spinal cord due to a lodged knife in the spine.” 

He added, “A surgery was performed to remove the knife and repair leaking spinal fluid. Two other deep wounds on his left hand and one other on his neck were repaired by the plastic surgery team. He is completely stable now. He is recovering well and out of danger now. The recovery should be 100 per cent as per our understanding” 

As quoted by NDTV, police have said that an accused has been identified in this matter. A senior police officer said in a statement, “Ten teams have been formed to catch him. Preliminary investigation suggests he entered Saif Ali Khan's house using the stairs with the intention of committing robbery. Further details will be disclosed once the accused is taken into custody,” 

Earlier in the day, Saif’s team issued a statement saying that he is out of surgery. It read, “Saif Ali Khan has come out of surgery and is out of danger. He is currently in recovery, and the doctors are monitoring his progress. All family members are safe, and the police are investigating the incident.”
