The chargesheet filed by Mumbai Police in Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing case revealed that the fingerprints detected from inside the actor’s flat, did not match with accused Shariful Islam, who was arrested post the attack. The chargesheet revealed that the fingerprints discovered on the black bathroom door, the sliding door of the bedroom and the cupboard door didn't match those of the accused.

According to the sources by Mumbai police, fingerprint matching isn't foolproof evidence. The source stated that the chances of a match are one in 1000 due to the likelihood of multiple people touching and using the same objects.

The chargesheet further revealed that the accused used to send money to his family in Bangladesh illegally via a relative. He would send money to his manager Abdulla Alim or supervisor Amit Pandey via a Bangalore-based account, which is illegal.

On January 16, a shocking incident unfolded at Saif Ali Khan's Mumbai residence when around 2 am, Khan reportedly heard distressing noises coming from his son Jeh's room, where one of his female employees had been attacked by an intruder. The actor intervened, which led to a fierce altercation between him and the intruder, leaving him seriously injured. During the confrontation, Khan sustained serious injuries on his back and shoulder.

Later, in a detailed statement to the cops, Kareena said, “At around 7:30 pm, I left to meet my friend Rhea Kapoor and returned home around 1:20 am. I checked on my children and found them asleep. Around 2 am, our caretaker Junu came to my bedroom and said someone was in Jeh’s room with a knife, demanding money.”

“The man had a knife and a hex blade. Saif intervened, but he got attacked. Geeta also tried to help and was hurt. I told Eliyamma to get Jeh out. We rushed to the 12th floor with Jeh, followed by Saif, who was bleeding heavily,” she added.

She concluded, “I told them all, ‘Leave it all, let’s go downstairs, let’s go to the hospital.’ Saif needed urgent medical attention.”
