Venkatesh will soon return to the big screen with his pan-India film 'Saindhav'. On the occasion of Independence Day, the makers of 'Saindhav' released a new teaser and introduced the seven main characters of the film. Written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu, the movie is backed by Venkat Boyanapalli of Niharika Entertainments.

Introducing the new star cast, the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the production house Niharika Entertainment wrote, "Team #SAINDHAV wishes everyone a Happy Independence Day. Marching ahead in all glory for the mission. #SaindhavOn22ndDEC."

The teaser introduces Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Shraddha Srinath, Ruhani Sharma, Andrea Jeremiah, Sara and Jayaprakash as the new star cast. Venkatesh is seen holding a gun in the teaser, whereas, Nawazuddin is seen in formal attire.

Garry Bh is the editor and Avinash Kolla is the production designer of the film. Kishore Thallur, S Venkatarathnam (Venkat), and Praveen Ghanta are the co-producer, executive producer and VFX supervisor respectively.

On the work front, Nawazuddin was last seen in 'Tiku Weds Sheru' which is streaming on Prime Video. He was criticised for pairing opposite 21-year-old Avneet Kaur in the film.

Defending the age gap, Nawazuddin told India Today, "Why will there be a problem? Romance is ageless. The problem is that the young men have no romance left. We are from the times when romance was something else. We would be in love and be in ‘ishq’ for years. Today, Shah Rukh Khan continues to do romantic roles because the young generation is ‘nalli’ (useless). They don’t know romance."

He further added, “Everything today happens on WhatsApp, be it love, or breakup. There is a reason behind this. People who have lived in romance can do romance. Who else will do it?"

He will star in 'Haddi', 'Noorani Chehra' and 'Bole Chudiyan'.
