Salim Khan, father of superstar Salman Khan, dismissed any connection between the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique and his son. He shared the family's concerns about heightened security due to escalating death threats Salman has faced from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, a situation that has worsened following Siddique's assassination. This incident has amplified fears among those close to the actor, especially since Siddique's murderers have claimed ties to the Bishnoi gang. Salim reiterated his belief that linking Siddique's killing to personal issues is baseless and absurd.
In an interview with ABP News, Salim said, "Nahi, mujhe nahi lagta hai ki isse koi taluk hai. Isse koi taluk nahi hai, mujhe nahi lagta. Baba Siddique ka isse kya taluk hoga? Kisi bhi cheez ka bana dijiye. Aapne humko salaam nahi kiya, ab hum aapko maar denge. Aapne humko namaste nahi kiya, hum maar denge (No, I don't think there is any connection. What connection will Baba Siddique have with this? We can make any story like this. You didn't greet me, I'll kill you)."
When pressed about the claim that Baba Siddique was killed for trying to protect Salman from Lawrence Bishnoi, Salim emphasised that not only the police but also family members are ensuring Salman’s safety. He remarked that life is unpredictable and anyone can face danger at any time. "Isme kya hai? Har koi bachana chahta hai...Zindagi jo hai kabhi bhi ja sakti hai, kisi ki bhi jasakti hai (So what? Everyone wants to save him...Anyone can lose their life anytime)."
Meanwhile, NCP leader Baba Siddique was tragically shot dead on October 12 outside his son Zeeshan Siddique's office in Mumbai's upscale Bandra area. Following the incident, two shooters were arrested, and on Friday, additional arrests brought the total to nine, as more individuals were apprehended for allegedly supplying firearms and logistical support in connection with Siddique's murder.
According to police reports, the five recently arrested suspects had communication with conspirator Shubham Lonkar and mastermind Mohammed Zeeshan Akhtar, both of whom remain at large. Authorities previously established that Akhtar has connections to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and is believed to play a key role in orchestrating Siddique's killing.
In a related development, the Mumbai Police received a threatening message via WhatsApp, demanding that Salman Khan pay ₹5 crore to resolve his ongoing conflict with Lawrence Bishnoi. The message ominously warned that failing to pay could lead to a fate worse than that of Baba Siddique, as reported by ANI.
