Salman Khan Blackbuck Controversy: Salman Khan has been receiving death threats for years due to the infamous 1998 blackbuck shooting incident. Despite having Y+ security cover, typically reserved for high-risk public figures, recent events have heightened concerns. The murder of politician and Salman's friend, Baba Siddique, has raised eyebrows. Salman's father, Salim Khan, recently claimed, "Salman never killed any animal. We haven't even killed a cockroach." Considering this assertion, let's examine who accompanied Salman during the blackbuck incident.

Salman Khan's Hum Sath Sath Hain Co-Stars Accompanied Him During The Incident

The Bishnoi community's complaint against Salman Khan and his 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' co-stars sparked a series of legal consequences. Salman was arrested for hunting endangered animals and later granted bail. According to a report in Economic Times, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu, and Neelam who were shooting for film-maker Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ were spotted hunting two blackbucks.

Did Tabu Provoke Salman Khan To Pull The Trigger?

According to TOI, an eyewitness alleged that Tabu encouraged Salman Khan to shoot a blackbuck on October 1, 1998, saying "the target is close." However, despite this testimony, Tabu, along with co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, and Neelam Kothari, were acquitted of all charges related to the poaching incident.

The Rajasthan High Court also served fresh notices to Tabu, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam Kothari and Dushyant Kumar, a local resident, in connection with the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.

The Rajasthan government challenged the acquittal of Tabu, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam Kothari, and Dushyant Kumar in its plea filed on April 5, 2018. The government argued that it was inconsistent to clear these five individuals due to lack of evidence when Salman Khan, who was with them at the time, was convicted of poaching blackbucks.
