Salman Khan's pairing with Rashmika Mandanna in the upcoming movie Sikandar has raised a lot of questions about the significant age gap between him and his co-star. Recently, the actor gave a fitting reply to those criticizing his starring with Mandann. Amid this, Salman revealed that the reason why he can’t work with young actresses like Ananya Panday and Janhvi Kapoor.

Salman Khan explained how public perception makes it difficult for him to work with young actresses at a recent press conference. He said, “If I want to work with Ananya or Janhvi, people make it difficult for me because they talk about the age gap.” Emphasizing how working with younger artists helps them get good opportunities in the industry, he added, “I work with them thinking it gives them a good opportunity, and even then, I will continue to work with them.”

The Tiger 3 actor also discussed how challenging it is to make multi-starrer films in Bollywood today with the current generation. He said, “I once suggested a filmmaker make something with an ensemble cast, but all the actors of the current generation refused to work with each other.”

Highlighting the insecurities of actors these days, Salman stated, “Actors have become very insecure. We were comfortable doing multi-cast films because, for us, it was about bringing all our fans together to make the film a hit. We spent 100-200 days working together and eventually became friends.”

Recently, the makers unveiled the gripping trailer of his upcoming movie Sikandar. At the launch event, Salman addressed several ongoing issues surrounding the movie, including the 31-year age gap with Rashmika Mandanna. Giving a witty reply, he was heard saying, “Phir vo bolte hain 31 years ka difference hai heroine aur mujh mein. Jab heroine ko problem nahi hain, heroine ke father ko problem nahi hain, tumko kya problem hain? Kal jab inki shaadi ho jayegi, bacche ho jaenge, toh unke sath bhi kaam karenge. Pati ka permission toh mil hi jayega na? (The heroine’s father has no problem. Tomorrow, when she gets married and has children, she will still continue working. Talking about Sikandar, which is helmed by AR Murugadoss, Salman confirmed that the film is set to release in cinemas on March 30.
