Every year, during Eid, fans eagerly anticipate the release of a movie starring the beloved superstar Salman Khan. However, this year was different as the actor did not have any movie hitting the theaters. Nevertheless, Salman Khan delighted his fans with an exceptional gift on this festive occasion. He made a thrilling announcement on Friday about his next project titled 'Sikandar'. This upcoming action-packed thriller is scheduled for release during Eid 2025. It will be helmed by the renowned filmmaker AR Murugadoss.
Salman Khan's Next Is Titled Sikandar
The actor took to his Instagram handle and wrote, “Iss Eid ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ aur ‘Maidaan’ ko dekho aur agli Eid Sikandar se aa kar milo…. Wish u all Eid Mubarak! #SajidNadiadwala Presents #Sikandar. Directed by @ARMurugadoss @NGEMovies @WardaNadiadwala #SikandarEid2025.”
Since the release of his blockbuster hit ‘Dabangg’ in 2010, Salman Khan has consistently ruled the‘Bodyguard’ Eid release slot in Bollywood. With the exception of four films—last year's ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, ‘Bharat’, ‘Race 3’, and ‘Tubelight’—every movie he has released on Eid has turned into a massive success. These include hits like , ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Kick’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, and ‘Sultan’.
On the other hand, Murugadoss is widely recognized for his work as a director in both Tamil and Hindi cinema, with notable films like ‘Ghajini’, ‘Thuppakki’, ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’, and ‘Sarkar’ under his belt.
Furthermore, he contributed to the script of Salman Khan's 2014 film ‘Jai Ho’, which was a remake of Murugadoss' successful Telugu movie ‘Stalin’. Recently, Salman Khan starred in ‘Tiger 3’, the latest installment in his popular ‘Tiger’ series.
