Salman Khan has often expressed his admiration for veteran actor Dharmendra and his contributions to Indian cinema. He has shared a close bond with the Deol family over the years, helping Bobby Deol in Bollywood and attending their special occasions. While promoting his recent release Sikandar, Salman revealed how he follows Dharmendra more than his sons do. He also shared his desire to remake Dharmendra's movies, including Seeta Aur Geeta, Sholay, and others.
Salman Khan, in a recent interview with Hamad Al Reyami, talked about Dharmendra and his films. Praising the actor, he said, “He is one of the most amazing men that we have in the industry. In fact, after my father, I followed Dharam ji only. In fact, I follow him more than his own sons follow him."
Salman Khan Desires to Remake These Films of Dharmendra
When asked which of Dharmendra’s films he would like to remake, Salman responded, "Unki 3-4 pictures ka main remake karoonga. Ek toh unhone Chacha Bhatija ki thi, uska karoonga. Ek Seeta Aur Geeta ka karoonga. Phir, Sholay toh definitely karoonga. Unki picture aayi thi Ram Balram. Bohot saari picturein unki… unki maine har picture dekhi hai."

Meanwhile, Salman Khan's Sikandar has achieved an impressive feat at the box office since its March 30 release in theaters. On its opening day, the action-thriller earned Rs 54 crore worldwide. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the film stars Salman Khan in the lead role, alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sanjay Kapoor, Prateik Babbar, and Sharman Joshi in pivotal roles. The movie now faces a box office clash with the Malayalam film L2: Empuraan, starring Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Released on March 27, L2: Empuraan has earned over Rs 59 crore so far.
In addition, Salman Khan will be seen in Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick 2 and will reunite with Sanjay Dutt for an action-packed movie.
