Sam Bahadur Box Office Collection Day 1: Vicky Kaushal is back on the big screen with Meghna Gulzar's directorial 'Sam Bahadur'. The movie has been receiving a good response from the audience, praising the stellar performance of the star cast. Vicky essayed the role of India's first field marshal Sam Manekshaw in the film and Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra seen as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Sam Manekshaw's wife respectively. 'Sam Bahadur' clashed with Ranbir Ka[oor's 'Animal' at the box office but opened to decent numbers.

Sam Bahadur Box Office Collection Day 1:

According to the website Sacnilk, 'Sam Bahadur' collected Rs 5.50 crore on day 1 as per early estimate. The numbers are expected to go higher in the weekend.

According to the description by RSVP Movies, the synopsis reads, "'Sam Bahadur' is a tribute to Field Marshal Sam HFJ Manekshaw, MC, India's first Field Marshal and a legendary Army General. His career witnessed the shaping of India's geopolitical borders, and his life was marked by significant milestones, from fighting in World War II to being the Chief of Army Staff during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war, which led to the creation of Bangladesh."

Katrina Kaif earlier shared her review of 'Sam Bahadur' and praised Vicky Kaushal's performance. She wrote on Instagram, "SAM BAHADUR -@meghnagulzar such a poetic beautiful classic film, was transported to another era .. you can see your passion to telling his story and attention to detail in every shot."
