Samara Movie OTT Release: Charles Joseph made his directorial debut with the Malayalam sci-fi thriller movie in 2023. The movie follows the aftermath of a virus outbreak, putting the country's population at risk. Rahman and Bharath Srinivasan starrer didn't meet expectations at the box office and received mixed responses from the audience but the performance was widely praised. The Malayalam movie made its digital debut on the OTT platform Prime Video which was only accessible by International viewers. Now, the makers are set to make it available for Indian audiences.
Samara Movie OTT Release: Where To Stream Malayalam Movie Online In India?
As announced Samara will be streaming on OTT service Manorama Max from April 30, 2025, onwards. The streaming platforms shared the announcement update on its Instagram handle along with a film's poster. The OTT giant post read, "The thriller movie 'Samara' in which Rahman, Bharat, Sanjana Deepu, Binoj Villya, Rahul Madhav directed for the first time by Charles Joseph, will be in the lead roles in Manorama Max from April 30th..."

Know About Samara Movie Cast And Crew
Written by Charles Joseph. The film is backed by M. K. Subhakaran and Anuj Varghese Villyadath under the banner of Peacock Art House. Samara stars Rahman and Bharath Srinivasan in lead roles alongside Binoj Villya, Sanjana Dipu, Rahul Madhav, Vivia Santh, Govind Krishna, Mir Sarwar, Dinesh Lamba, Tinij Villya, Veer Aryan, Neetu Chaudhary and Sonali Sudan among others in key roles.
Samara Movie Gripping Plot
The film's story revolves around a former army doctor named Dr Alan (played by Binoj Villya ) who lives a peaceful life alone in the mountains. His daughter, Jani, played by Sanjana Dipu pays a visit to him and soon after unexpected things start to happen. She goes through strange occurance surrounding her. During this time, a police officer named Antony (Rahman) arrives in the area to investigate mysterious murder cases. When Alan and Antony dig deeper into the situation then they discover that a deadly virus is at the center. This virus, which was created during World War II, turns people into wild creatures. The only way to cure the virus is with an old lady in Germany. The film unfolds with more dark secrets from the past of Alan and Jani. They also find terrorist conspiracy tied to the virus.
