Sana Makbul, Bigg Boss OTT 3 winner recently talked about her growing health concerns. The TV actress disclosed that she has been fighting an autoimmune liver illness  similar to myositis, which actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been surffering from.

Sana Makbul revealed in a recent podcast with Bharti Singh that she has been battling autoimmune hepatitis since 2020, a disorder in which her body's cells target her liver. In order to manage her health, she has been taking medicine for it and has even turned vegan.

Sana Makbul said, "I have turned vegan recently due to health reasons. A lot of people don’t know that I am an autoimmune hepatitis patient. I have a liver disease, it was diagnosed in 2020. It has no specific symptoms. In this, my body cells are attacking the organ. So in my case, it’s sometimes lupus; it hits your kidneys or causes arthritis. Samantha Ruth Prabhu has myositis, which is a muscle condition. I have it with the liver."

Sana Makbul revealed that she finds it difficult to manage her health condition despite. She has been managing her health by taking suppressants, steroids, and other medications. "I take steroids, suppressants, some medicines. It’s a lifestyle disorder, but with the autoimmune condition, the liver condition is a tricky thing. My health keeps fluctuating, I don’t know if this can be cured completely," Makbul added. 

Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh talked about how social media frequently disseminates false information regarding medical procedures. Bharti also emphasised how confusing it might be to find conflicting advice online.

Meanwhile, Sana Makbul has been actively employed in the entertainment sector after winning Bigg Boss OTT season 3. She has appeared in several music videos, including one featuring Karanveer Mehra, the winner of Bigg Boss 18. She most recently appeared with her close friend, rapper Naezy, in the music video for the song Bhamai.
