According to a report in News18, Sanjay Dutt will soon be joining the team of 'Jawan' where the report stated, "The casting for this brief but vital role has been quite difficult for Atlee, as it required an A-list star who had never appeared on screen alongside Shah Rukh."

It also mentioned, "Allu Arjun was earlier offered this role, but he turned it down due to a scheduling conflict and his commitment to the highly anticipated Pushpa: The Rule. Shortly after Allu's refusal, the makers went to Sanju Baba, and now he has agreed to do this role for SRK."

Sanjay Dutt is currently busy shooting for Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film 'Leo' in Kashmir and will be wrapping a major schedule of his role, where next he will join the team of 'Jawan' in Mumbai.

The report also mentioned that Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Dutt will have a long sequence which is expected to be huge and will be shot on a large scale. The shooting of the film started last year, and later it was disclosed that Shah Rukh Khan will be having a double role in the film.

A major part of the film has already been shot in Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai. Shah Rukh Khan earlier shared that, "Jawan is a universal story that goes beyond languages, and geographies and is for all to enjoy. Credit goes to Atlee for creating this unique film, which has also been a fantastic experience for me as I love action films! The teaser is the just tip of the iceberg and gives a glimpse into what's to come".

Shah Rukh Khan also has Rajkumar Hirani's 'Dunki' in the row co-starring Tapsee Pannu.
