Sankranthiki Vasthunam OTT Release: Venkatesh Daggubati starrer Sankranthiki Vasthunam, which became one of the highest-grossing and most successful Telugu films of 2025 after its silver screen debut on January 14, 2025, is now smashing records with its digital premiere. After its blockbuster theatrical run, Sankranthiki Vasthunam made its highly anticipated OTT debut on Zee5 on March 1. Within hours of streaming, the film shattered viewership records. The movie continues to receive a positive response even with its digital release.

Sankranthiki Vasthunam OTT Release

Following its OTT premiere, Sankranthiki Vasthunam created history by becoming the biggest opening film ever on the streaming platform Zee5, breaking all previous records in just six hours of its release on March 1. Check out the makers' post:

Sankranthiki Vasthunam follows the story of retired police officer Yadagiri Damodhar Raju (played by Venkatesh), who is approached by his ex-girlfriend and Assistant Commissioner Meenakshi (Meenakshi Chaudhary) to assist in a high-profile kidnapping case involving Satya Akella. Satya Akella (played by Srinivas Avasarala), an IT entrepreneur from the US, has been kidnapped after landing in India. Adding a comedic twist, YD Raju's wife Bhagya Lakshmi (Aishwarya Rajesh) joins the mission with her husband to keep an eye on his ex-girlfriend. The film’s storyline is filled with drama, humor, and action-packed sequences.

In addition to the main lead, the film also stars P Sai Kumar, Srinivasa Reddy, Naresh, VTV Ganesh, and Sarvadaman D. Banerjee in key roles. Directed and written by Anil Ravipudi and produced by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, Sankranthiki Vasthunam is currently streaming in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. Talking about the film's box office performance, Sankranthiki Vasthunam has earned over Rs 303 crore worldwide.

Following the massive theatrical success, the makers are planning to release a sequel to Sankranthiki Vasthunam soon. Recently, Venkatesh confirmed the sequel and revealed that it will release during the 2027 Pongal festivities. Further details about the sequel are still under wraps, but fans are eagerly awaiting more updates on its development.
