Sankranthiki Vasthunam OTT Release: Sankranthiki Vasthunam is available on ZEE5, a massive over-the-top streaming service. The family entertainer became the greatest Telugu grosser of 2025 after making a successful big-screen debut. On January 14, 2025, the Venkatesh Daggubati movie was released, and the crowd enthusiastically greeted it. The blockbuster movie was released in a variety of languages other than Telugu from March 1, 2025 onwards.

Sankranthiki Vasthunam tells the story of a IT entrepreneur from the US named Satya Akella (Srinivas Avasarala), who is abducted as soon as he lands in India. Meenu (Meenakshi Chaudhary) turns to her ex-boyfriend, retired police officer Yadagiri Damodhar Raju, well known as YD Raju (Venkatesh), for assistance in the high-profile case. He is currently living in peace in his hamlet with his wife Bhagya Lakshmi (Aishwarya Rajesh) and kid.

Sankranthiki Vasthunam Reduced Runtime On OTT?

Sankranthiki Vasthunam is available on ZEE5 with a shorter runtime of 2 hours and 16 minutes, compared to its original runtime of 2 hours and 24 minutes in theaters, as per ap7am. Movie enthusiasts were were taken aback by the Sankranthiki Vasthunam's shorter runtime than its theatrical counterpart, in contrast to many movies that debut on streaming services with longer runtimes.

As per social media speculations, the filmmaker Anil Ravipudi may have included some deleted comic scenes in the OTT version, which fueled more conjecture. These reports specifically suggested that Meenakshi Chaudhary and Venkatesh's flashback moments would be brought back.

There are no extra sequences in the OTT version, which defies these assumptions. Instead, the video has been cut back by almost eight minutes. A formal statement on these edits has not yet been released by the film's crew.

Sankranthiki Vasthunam's box office receipts were Rs 185.1 crore (Telugu net), as per sacnilk. The Tamil movie brought in a total of Rs 303 crore worldwide. As of right now, the family drama is the largest Telugu opener of 2025 thanks to its remarkable box office haul.
