Sankranthiki Vasthunam Box Office Shutterdown: The Venkatesh Daggubati starrer Telugu movie Sankranthiki Vasthunam has concluded its illustrious run at the ticket windows. The Telugu action-comedy starring Venkatesh became a box office success due to its captivating plot, making it one of the year's biggest Telugu movie releases. The movie has experienced remarkable success in spite of fierce opposition from Tollywood heavyweights like Game Changer and Daaku Maharaaj.

Sankranthiki Vasthunam was nevertheless able to accomplish noteworthy milestones despite a little slowdown in revenue during the fourth week. The Telugu movie's earnings were less than Rs 1 crore at the beginning of the fourth week. As per Sacnilk, the Anil Ravipudi-directed movie ended its theatrical run with a decent total of Rs 182.85, ultimately dropping below 5 lakh on the fifth Friday.

Sankranthiki Vasthunam, reportedly made on a budget of Rs 50 crore, has already earned surplus. Amidst its OTT buzz, many anticipate for the Telugu movie's sequel. Th veteran actor teased fans with the announcement, confirming the second installment and ending the rumours.

Venkatesh Daggubati announced a sequel and pledged to return to recreate the same magic during the Sankranthiki Vasthunam's success press meet. The actor also revealed that the sequel will be released around the Pongal celebrations in 2027. Movie enthusiasts are thrilled about this announcement even while further information about part two remain unknown.

Sankranthiki Vasthunam OTT Release UPDATE

Sankranthiki Vasthunam was first scheduled to launch on OTT by February 11. According to Koimoi, it is now anticipated to be made available digitally on February 25. The streaming rights to the movie were reportedly purchased by ZEE5 for an astounding Rs 27 crore. The release date has not yet been confirmed by the digital streaming service.

About Sankranthiki Vasthunam

The narrative centers on Venkatesh's character, Yadagiri Damodhar Raju, a retired police officer who lives a tranquil life in Rajahmundry with his spouse, Bhagyalakshmi (Aishwarya Rajesh). When Satya Akella (Srinivas Avasarala), a digital entrepreneur, is abducted after returning to Telangana, the plot takes a different path. The CM designates Raju's ex-girlfriend, police officer Meenakshi (Meenakshi Chaudhary), to head the rescue effort.

Sankranthiki Vasthunam is portrayed by Venkatesh Daggubati, with Meenakshi Chaudhary and Aishwarya Rajesh serving as the female leads. Upendra Limaye, P. Sai Kumar, Naresh, VTV Ganesh, Prithviraj, Srinivas Avasarala, Muralidhar Goud, Anand Rama Raju, Pammi Sai, Sai Srinivas, Mahesh Balaraj, Pradeep Kabra, Chitti, and others are among the film's impressive ensemble cast.

Sankranthiki Vasthunam has achieved tremendous success and is now the third highest grossing Sankranti release in Tollywood.
