Satyaprem Ki Katha Box Office Collection Day 17: Upon its release, 'Satyaprem Ki Katha', starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani in lead roles, received tremendous love and acclaim from fans. However, the movie is currently facing tough competition from Tom Cruise’s highly-anticipated action thriller 'Mission Impossible 7', which has taken over the box office in India.

The film, directed by Sameer Vidwans, had an impressive opening with a collection of Rs 10 crore on its first day. However, on the 17th day of its release, the film's collection dropped to Rs 2 crore, bringing its total collection to Rs 75.71 crore. The film maintained an overall occupancy rate of 22.40 per cent in Hindi-language screenings on Saturday.

For the unversed, 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' marks Kartik and Kiara's second collaboration after starring in the blockbuster 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2,' last year. Taking to Instagram on July 11, Kartik shared a post expressing his gratitude to fans for the film’s initial success. Revealing that the film has grossed Rs 100 crore worldwide, he wrote in the caption, "Thank you for 100 cr ka Love (white heart and folded hands emojis). #SatyaPremKiKatha."

About Satyaprem Ki Katha:

Apart from Kartik and Kiara, the film also features acclaimed actors such as Supriya Pathak Kapur, Gajraj Rao, Siddharth Randheria, Anooradha Patel, Rajpal Yadav, Nirrmite Saawaant, and Shikha Talsania. The film is a collaborative project between NGE and Namah Pictures.

Speaking about his character Sattu, in the movie, Kartik told Hello magazine, "Sattu is very unique. In fact, in the movie, his mother says, 'Tu ek lauta piece hai (you're one-of-a-kind),' and that holds true to the character. He's simple, honest and madly in love. His eyes speak a lot, and he's one of the characters closest to my personality. Sattu is certainly someone people will relate to. When you watch the film, you’ll be able to draw those comparisons."

Kiara Advani also thanked her fans by taking to her Instagram story and  writing, "Feeling extremely emotional reading all the reviews. Katha has been a very special character to me with a crucial message and today seeing you all give her so much love makes my heart so full."
