Sector 36 OTT Release: Vikrant Massey is gearing up for the release of his upcoming Hindi-language crime thriller movie Sector 36. Directed by Aditya Nimbalkar, the movie also stars Deepak Dobriyal and Akash Khurana in pivotal roles. The movie is based on 2006 Noida serial murders also known as Nithari Killings. Sector 36 is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on 13 September 2024.
Sector 36 Plot: Sector 36 unfolds a tense narrative set in a covert security zone where secrets and danger lurk at every corner. As a series of mysterious events unravel, the protagonists must uncover the truth behind the chaos, leading to unexpected revelations and thrilling confrontations.
According to a report in India Today, Vikrant Massey said during the trailer launch, "I had already signed the film when some advisors, even in the team, warned me about it. As per them, I was now a so-called successful commercial actor, and this may not be the right project. When I heard this tag, I was adamant that I would do it for sure. These are the stories that need to be told. I want to be the voice of the common people. I really feel lucky to be part of something like this. It's an important film, and I am so proud to be part of it.”
Director Aditya Nimbalkar discussed the decision to release his film digitally, citing producer's choice. He expressed happiness with Netflix's worldwide backing, acknowledging not all films are suited for theaters. Nimbalkar praised Deepak Dobriyal's casting, calling him 'perfect' for the role, and commended the chemistry between Dobriyal and Vikrant Massey.
