Shah Rukh Khan made his eagerly anticipated big appearance at the MET Gala 2025, grabbing all the headlines. On social media, his Sabysachi all-black ensemble sparked conversations. In a charming behind-the-scenes video, the superstar disclosed that his 'little kids', Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan and AbRam Khan, were thrilled about his debut.

Shah Rukh Khan disclosed that the final push about his MET Gala debut came from his children, Suhana, Aryan, and AbRam Khan. The actor who will return to the big screen with King, further continued, "I have kids who are very excited about the MET. I don't know if I would have come here on my own, but when Sabyasachi suggested it, my kids went 'wow."

Shah Rukh Khan disclosed that he is very nervous and excited about his appearance at the biggest fashion event. "I'm actually very shy… I was wondering if I could just run away from this now," he said speaking to Vogue.

Shah Rukh Khan's only requirement for his appearance in Sabyasachi's ensemble was to stick to black or white. He revealed that he was totally comfortable in the opulent outfit and that comfort is what really matters to him. Sabyasachi told the hosts that when SRK almost started a stampede when he left their hotel for the event. 

Shah Rukh Khan wore a sleek black suit with several necklaces that were strategically placed to heighten the drama.  He finished the ensemble with a striking cane bearing a ferocious tiger's head.

Shah Rukh Khan's MET Gala all-black prompted response from his friends and colleagues in Bollywood. Alia Bhatt called him legend while Karan Johar hailed the 'king' for his debut. Many dropped hearts and fire emojs for the superstar.

Miller's seminal 2009 book Slaves to Fashion, the idea explores the Black dandy as a potent representation of identity and style.
