Shah Rukh Khan made his dashing debut at the Met Gala 2025. The prestigious fashion event took place at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on May 5. Shah Rukh looked handsome and royal in a Sabyasachi outfit. He adorned black attire following this year’s theme, ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style’. SRK’s look was a much-awaited one of this year and won the hearts of fans. Apart from him, other stars like Kiara Advani, Diljit Dosanjh and Priyanka Chopra Jonas participated at the Met Gala 2025. Shah Rukh Khan opened up about his debut at the popular fashion event. The actor stated that he represented the people of India and wanted to make the country’s presence felt at the international level.

While talking about his Met Gala debut, SRK told Times Magazine, “It’s important to represent my countrymen and people. India is taking a stand in a lot of things and it’s important to have our presence felt.” The King Khan of Bollywood also admired this year’s Met Gala theme, ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style’. He added, “I liked what it stood for—the concept of revolution and resolution, not through anger or fighting, but by being exuberant and artistic. Dressing up in a way that made a statement.”

Shah Rukh Khan, who has worked in the industry for several decades, talked about his initial days in his career. The actor said, “I just acted and I didn’t have anything to lose. Maybe that’s why I was so cocky and overconfident and silly at times.” He ‘acknowledged that having him as a dad does help’. Khan added, “The privilege part should make them humbler that they have this background. There will always be a shadow. But this path is very difficult. The shadow of somebody looming over you should not be a consideration for liking or disliking them.”

Shah Rukh Khan will be next seen in The King, which also stars his daughter Suhana Khan in key roles. The release date of the film is yet to be announced.
