Jawan Beats Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan: Shah Rukh Khan's film 'Jawan' seems to be following the same trajectory as 'Pathaan.' The pre-booking for Atlee's nationwide action-packed thriller began in India on Friday morning, and by 3 pm, it had already surpassed 1,00,000 ticket sales, as reported by DNA.
The advance ticket sales for 'Jawan' commenced at 10 am on Friday, and by 3 pm, it had already sold 1,18,000 tickets, amounting to a revenue of Rs 4 crore, according to the report. Additionally, the report notes that the advance booking for the Tamil version, featuring prominent names like Atlee, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi, has also generated ticket sales worth Rs 15-20 lakh in the same time frame. As of 9 pm, 'Jawan' had managed to secure 1,24,000 ticket sales across the three primary multiplex chains.
'Jawan' has already exceeded the pre-sale figures of Salman Khan's action film 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan,' which had earlier generated ticket revenue of Rs 3.39 crore this year. According to the report, 'Jawan' is anticipated to achieve 2,00,000 ticket sales on the first day of advance booking, potentially surpassing the advance bookings for Kartik Aaryan's comedy horror 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' and Mani Ratnam's historical epic 'Ponniyin Selvan - 2.'
Shah Rukh Khan's espionage thriller 'Pathaan,' which premiered earlier this year, achieved an impressive Rs 32 crore in advance bookings, marking the highest for any Hindi film. In comparison, SS Rajamouli's Telugu historical epic 'RRR' garnered an astounding Rs 58 crore in advance bookings last year. Given that 'Jawan' still has five more days for its advance bookings to surge, it remains to be seen whether it can surpass the records set by Shah Rukh's 'Pathaan' and 'RRR.'
