Shahid Kapoor, the star of the original Ishq Vishk, recently expressed his excitement and nostalgia for the upcoming film Ishq Vishk Rebound. The much-anticipated sequel, featuring Rohit Saraf, Pashmina Roshan, Jibraan Khan and Naila Grewal, is set to hit theatres on June 21, 2024. As the trailer and the song 'Ishq Vishk Pyaar Vyaar' resonate with audiences, Kapoor took to social media to share his thoughts and best wishes for the new cast.

On Wednesday, Shahid Kapoor shared a poster of the new song on his Instagram stories. He penned a heartfelt note, reminiscing about the original film and wishing the new team success. "21 years and the track still sounds fresh. All the best guys! This one will always be special," he wrote. This nostalgic post highlights the enduring legacy of the original 'Ishq Vishk', which was released in 2003 and marked Kapoor's debut in Bollywood.

The song Ishq Vishk Pyaar Vyaar has been composed by Rochak Kohli, with lyrics by Gurpreet Saini. Sung by Sonu Nigam and Nikita Gandhi and featuring Mellow D, the song has quickly become a hit. Choreographer Vijay Ganguly has retained the iconic hook step originally conceptualized by Ahmed Khan, adding a nostalgic touch for fans of the original film.

During the song launch event, Rohit Saraf spoke to News18 about his role in 'Ishq Vishk Rebound'. He emphasized that the new film is neither a remake nor a sequel but a fresh story within the same franchise. "More than pressure, there’s a lot of gratitude. Because I feel like this is an opportunity not many people get, and I don’t want to dilute that by putting that kind of pressure on myself," Saraf explained.

He further clarified that 'Ishq Vishk Rebound' is a love story about Gen Z, exploring their relationships and experiences. "It’s a new story altogether. It’s a love story about Gen Z, what they go through, and it is kinda exciting," he added.

'Ishq Vishk Rebound' marks the debut of Hrithik Roshan’s cousin, Pashmina Roshan. Jibraan Khan and Naila Grewal also play significant roles in the film, which explores modern love, relationships, and friendships.
