Shahid Kapoor is gearing up for an exciting 2025 lineup. He is preparing for his much-awaited action movie Deva, which is set to release in cinemas on January 31. The actor, also part of Vishal Bhardwaj’s gangster film backed by Sajid Nadiadwala, is reportedly ready to team up with director Atlee for an upcoming high-octane masala entertainer. Though not officially confirmed yet, this news has already created a buzz.

Shahid Kapoor Joins Hands With Atlee For High-Octane Entertainer

Shahid is currently discussing a masala entertainer with Atlee, which will be directed by one of Atlee's associates. According to Bollywood Hungama, a source revealed that Shahid has been in talks for the past five months and is on the verge of signing the deal. The source also mentioned that this film will be an original action entertainer, not a remake and is being developed by Atlee and his associate.

Meanwhile, Shahid has started shooting for Vishal Bhardwaj’s untitled film, which also stars Triptii Dimri. The movie will feature Nana Patekar and Randeep Hooda in significant roles and is slated for a release on December 5, 2025.

In Deva, Shahid will appear in a never-seen-before avatar, playing the role of a police officer. Pooja Hegde will star opposite him as a journalist. The film also features Kubbra Sait and Pavail Gulati in key roles. Directed by acclaimed Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews and produced by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films, Deva promises to be packed with explosive action. The recently released teaser, which impressed fans with Shahid's dynamic dance moves and intense action sequences, has further heightened anticipation.

Apart from these projects, Shahid will reportedly star in the much-awaited sequel of Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan's Cocktail. Directed by Homi Adajania, Cocktail 2 will reunite Shahid with Kriti Sanon. The duo previously shared screen space in the movie Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.
