According to Sacnilk's report, Shaitaan has made a remarkable debut at the domestic box office, generating double-digit figures on its premiere day. The film has amassed Rs 15.21 crore nett across India, encompassing all language versions. With a solid 25.70 percent occupancy rate for its Hindi edition on Friday. With this the film has laid a solid foundation for a promising box office journey, with Saturday and Sunday anticipated to draw even higher numbers.

Shaitaan demonstrates promising prospects, particularly benefiting from the Mahashivratri holiday. It surpassed the previous record held by horror film Raaz 3 (2012). Prior to Shaitaan, the film starring Emraan Hashmi, Bipasha Basu, and Esha Gupta was the top horror opener in Bollywood, grossing Rs 10.33 crore.
Shaitaan Budget
The film was released across 2800 theaters in India, boasting a total of 4000 screens, and debuted on 1200 screens overseas. Reportedly, its budget, including production and advertising costs, is estimated to be around 100 Crores, mirroring that of Drishyam 2.

Shaitaan is a Hindi adaptation of the acclaimed Gujarati film Vash, directed by Vikas Bahl. The storyline revolves around a family whose peaceful existence is disrupted when an uninvited guest overstays his welcome in their home. He begins manipulating the young girl, encouraging her to embrace her inner darkness and turn against her own family.
Brought to the audience by Jio Studios, Ajay Devgn Ffilms, and Panorama Studios International, the film is produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak. The music score for 'Shaitaan' is crafted by Devi Sri Prasad.
