Shantanu Maheshwari and Khushalii Kumar have joined the cast of the upcoming psychological thriller 'Crossfire', set to be directed by Harish Raut and produced by Praful Parate and Yogesh Tidke under Sandsational Films Pvt Ltd. As per PTI, the film promises to deliver a thrilling experience, blending suspense and drama in a captivating storyline. 'Crossfire' follows Ipsita Dhar (played by Kumar), whose life takes an unexpected turn when she crosses paths with Bhanu Pratap Singh (played by Maheshwari), recently released from jail. Director Raut describes the film as a thrilling experience with a strong human drama at its core.

As per news agency PTI, Raut expressed his excitement about working with talented young actors, stating, "With layered characters, I wanted young actors who could embody these roles authentically. I am happy to have found Shantanu and Khushalii, and we are eager to commence workshops with the entire cast before we go on floor in October."

Maheshwari, known for his role in 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', shared his enthusiasm for the project, saying, "From the moment I read the script, I was drawn to the film. My character has nuances that challenge traditional notions of morality. He navigates a spectrum of emotions and moral dilemmas, challenging traditional notions of right and wrong. As an actor, these layers offer an exciting opportunity for exploration."

Kumar, best known for her role in 'Starfish', expressed her excitement as well, stating, "I am really thrilled to be in this film. The storyline is captivating, offering a blend of suspense and emotional depth that will undoubtedly resonate with audiences." 'Crossfire' is set to begin filming in October, with the cast and crew gearing up for what promises to be an intense and gripping cinematic experience.
