Bollywood’s veteran actress Sharmila Tagore recently reviewed her daughter-in-law Kareena Kapoor’s movie Crew. The legendary actress called the film ‘absurd beyond belief’. But she also highlighted the camaraderie between the three leading ladies in the movie- Kareena Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Tabu. Tagore also believed that the movie’s box office collection would encourage filmmakers to do more female-centric films.
In an interview with Kapil Sibal for his YouTube channel Dil Se Kapil Sibal, Sharmila said “It is absurd, of course, beyond belief but there are three women pulling off this adventure. One is landing a plane, one is breaking a safe, doing all kinds of things together and the camaraderie between the three is excellent because they say a woman is a woman’s worst enemy, not so here.”
She further asserted that Crew is entertaining and the box office numbers would attract more filmmakers to do female-centric movies. He said “Crew has done very well. Three women are doing all kinds of fantastic things and it has done well at the box office. This will encourage a lot of filmmakers to do women-centric films.”
