One of DC Comics’ most loved characters, Shazam is all set to entertain the audiences this week. The superhero film Shazam! The Fury Of Gods will be releasing on OTT this weekend.
Released theatrically in March 2023, Shazam 2 received mixed reviews from the audiences and critics alike. The movie marked the sequel to the 2019-film Shazam, which became a blockbuster worldwide at the box-office.
Shazam 2 OTT Release Date And Time In India
Shazam! The Fury of Gods will be making its OTT debut this week on Book My Show. The film will be available to the audiences in India from April 18, 2023.

The film stars Zachary Levi in the lead role, with Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Rachel Zegler, Adam Brody, Ross Butler, D. J. Cotrona, Grace Caroline Currey, Meagan Good, Lucy Liu, Djimon Hounsou and Helen Mirren in pivotal roles.
Shazam 2 Plot
Written by Henry Gayden and Chris Morgan, the plot of Shazam 2 revolves around a newly fostered kid who is looking for his mom and suddenly finds superpowers. When a vengeful trio of ancient gods arrives on Earth in search of the magic stolen from them long ago, Shazam and his allies get thrust into a battle for their superpowers, their lives, and the fate of the world.
Shazam 2 Box Office
The film was set on a big budget of reportedly around $110–125 million, but performed underwhelmingly at the box-office. Shazam! The Fury of Gods managed to collect over $131 million worldwide.
Speaking about the same, director David F. Sandberg remained nonchalant about the film’s box-office numbers. In an interview, the filmmaker said that the numbers did not come as a surprise to him and added, “No worries. It’s not like this comes as a surprise. I saw where this was heading a long time ago. I’ll be alright though. I got paid all my money upfront.”
