Darlings actor Shefali Shah is known for her no-filter words. However, Shah recently revealed that she was once "touched inappropriately" in a busy market when she opted not to say anything. The Jalsa actor opened up on why she chose to remain silent.

Speaking in an ANI podcast, Shefali Shah said, "I remember walking in a crowded market and being touched inappropriately and feeling crap about it. And, never ever saying anything because I wouldn’t say it was guilt but it’s just… shameful."

She further noted, "A lot of people think, 'Did I do anything?' You feel guilty, shameful and you feel ‘bhool jao (forget it). Shove-it-under-the-carpet kind of thing’."

The actor said that she hadn't given the situation much attention or believed a talk about it was necessary. She only discussed it because "something that struck directly into me and the entire film" was the sole motivation for her to do so.

Respected for her acting talent, Shefali Shah generally appears in independent Hindi films. For her work, she has won both domestic and international awards. On the professional front, Shefali has had a very successful year, delivering back-to-back hits including Jalsa, Human, Darlings, Doctor G, and Delhi Crime 2 on both traditional theatre screens and streaming services. The actor also won an award for Best Actor (Female) at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2022 for Jalsa. She also starred in Delhi Crime which bagged the Best Drama Series award at the 48th International Emmys.
