After Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Mumbai seized immovable and movable assets valued at Rs 97.79 Crore owned by Raj Kundra under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, he assured that he along with wife-actress Shilpa Shetty will follow the due process of law and take necessary steps as prescribed under the provisions. In their statement, the expressed their willingness to cooperate with the relevant authorities. They emphasised the importance of a 'fair investigation' and reiterated their confidence in the Indian judicial system.

Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty's lawyer Prashant Patil in a statement said, "We shall follow the due process of law and take necessary steps as prescribed under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act to protect the liberty and property of my clients."

"On the face of it, there is no prima facie case made out against my clients Mr Raj Kundra and Mrs Shilpa Shetty Kundra. We have complete faith in the Honourable Judiciary. I believe when we make our fair representation before the Honourable Enforcement Directorate, even the investigation agencies may grant justice to us. We have faith in the fair investigation. We stand committed to cooperate with the authorities as and when required," he added.

Earlier today, the Enforcement Directorate seized properties belonging to Raj Kundra valued at Rs 97.79 crore, which include assets comprise a residential flat in Juhu, currently registered under actor Shilpa Shetty's name, a bungalow in Pune, and equity shares registered under Raj Kundra's name. Allegations suggest that Kundra, along with others, amassed substantial funds in the form of bitcoins (valued at Rs 6,600 crore in 2017) from the public, promising false returns of 10 per cent per month in bitcoins.

The ED investigation unveiled that Raj Kundra was provided with 285 bitcoins by Amit Bhardwaj, the mastermind and promoter of the Gain Bitcoin Ponzi Scam, to establish a bitcoin mining farm in Ukraine.
