The conclusion of Bigg Boss 18 has sparked widespread disappointment among fans, with many expressing their discontent over Karan Veer Mehra's win. A significant number of viewers firmly believe that Vivian Dsena, the runner-up, was more deserving of the title. In contrast, others argue that Karan did not demonstrate the qualities necessary to emerge victorious. The controversy surrounding the show's outcome has been further fueled by television producer Sandeep Sikand, who recently made a startling claim. According to Sikand, Karan's victory was not solely based on audience votes, as many fans had assumed, but rather on his personality.
Sikand's statement has reignited the long-standing debate regarding the show's credibility, with viewers taking to social media to express their outrage and disappointment. Many have gone so far as to label the finale "rigged”. The controversy has even prompted former Bigg Boss winner Shilpa Shinde to speak out against the show's makers.
Shinde alleged that the winner of the reality show is, in fact, predetermined, and that the producers can no longer deceive viewers into believing that the outcome is based on genuine audience votes.
According to a report in News 18, Shilpa said in a statement, “I don’t know, kuch logo ko pata chal gaya ki makers khud hi decide karte hain winner. Khud hi banate hain, apne ghar se uthakar late hain aur khud hi dikhate hain. Toh channel ki jo bhi strategy hai, I think logon ko pata chal gayi hai. Aap ek limit tak logon ko ullu banaa sakte ho, uske baad nahin.”
