Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar received criticism for sharing updates on their safety in their new vlog during the stressful period after the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

Shoaib Ibrahim has finally addressed the matter in a recent vlog on his YouTube channel, stating that he has been inundated with hateful and abusive messages in recent days. Speaking towards camera, he opened up about the days that followed the Pahalgam terror assault in the vlog. 

Shoaib Ibrahim said, "We flew from Srinagar to Delhi on April 22. While we were mid-flight, the Pahalgam terror attack occurred, and we had no knowledge about it. There was no connection. When we landed and switched our phones on, we were flooded with messages enquiring about our safety. Initially, the news was only a couple of injuries. We thought it was responsible to inform our well-wishers that we were safe, and in the same breath, I mentioned the vlog — but without any intention of promoting it."

Shoaib Ibrahim also revealed that he got a lot of hate messages, some of which threatened his family with derogatory language. He wondered why the problem was focusing on him and Dipika. Shoaib questioned why he and Dipika were singled out in his case. "Sirf main target kyu? Dipika target kyu? Hum kya special hai aapke liye? Har ek vlogger ne daala hain," he added.

For the unversed, Shoaib and Dipika took their son Ruhaan on a family trip to Kashmir. Following the terrorist attack, they addressed worries about their safety and released a post on social media. The couple disclosed on social media that they had already left Kashmir before the unfortunate incident.

Following a wave of trolling, Shoaib and Dipika also slammed the terror act in Kashmir. requesting that the terrorists who carried out the horrible event that claimed 26 lives be executed. The Saural Simar Ka actor said, "Whoever kills an innocent person, it is as if he has killed all of humanity."- (Quran 5:32)." Expressing her outrage, Dipika said, "Find them, hang them."

In an attack on tourists at Pahalgam's Baisaran Meadow on April 22, terrorists killed 25 Indians and one Nepali, injuring several others and causing shockwaves throughout the nation. Some have referred to it as one of the Valley's bloodiest civilian attacks in recent memory.
