Kim Young Dae fresh from his roles in No Gain No Love and Perfect Family, is set to lead another highly anticipated series. The 28-year-old actor has been offered a starring role in MBC's upcoming drama, tentatively titled Let's Go to the Moon. Known for his portrayal of second-generation chaebols (wealthy heirs), Kim’s new role will see him once again in the shoes of a powerful character, Ham Ji Woo, also known as Dr. Ham.

Kim Young Dae has recently been in high demand, with two new Kdramas lined up: Dear X, in which he’s paired with My Demon’s Kim Yoo Jung and Let's Go to the Moon. According to a recent report by JTBC Entertainment News, an industry insider shared details on Kim’s upcoming roles and his agency, Outer Universe, confirmed that Let's Go to the Moon is one of the projects he is currently considering.

In Let's Go to the Moon, Kim Young Dae’s character, Ham Ji Woo, is a director of a Big Data Task Force team. Although his job keeps him busy and content, his life takes a turn when he meets Jung Da Hae, portrayed by Lee Sun Bin, who is known for her role in Boyhood. Their dynamic sparks a shift in Ham Ji Woo’s life, reigniting his hidden dreams and aspirations. Ra Mi Ran, celebrated for her role in The Good Bad Mother, and Jo Aram from The Auditors, will join the cast as key figures and coworkers of Lee Sun Bin's character.

The storyline of Let's Go to the Moon centres on young professionals dealing with career instability, rising household debt, and the challenges of a high-pressure workplace. Set against the backdrop of corporate absurdities and economic hardship, it contrasts the realities of young workers with the glamorous lives of the wealthy. Produced by Bon Factory, which previously worked on No Gain No Love, the show will be helmed by director Oh Da Young.

With an impressive slate of roles, Kim Young Dae’s fans have plenty to look forward to. His recent works in No Gain No Love and Perfect Family have solidified his reputation as a versatile and charismatic lead. Now, with Let's Go to the Moon and Dear X in the pipeline, he is on track to deliver even more compelling performances. Let's Go to the Moon is anticipated to air in 2025, offering a refreshing take on modern-day struggles for success.
