Dhurandhar: Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar continues to dominate headlines, not just for its record-breaking box office run but also for the strong support it has received from within the film industry. The latest celebrity to praise the spy thriller is Shraddha Kapoor, who applauded the film’s success while also calling out the negative publicity and controversies it faced before release. Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar has impressed audiences and celebrities alike, with stars such as Vicky Kaushal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Allu Arjun previously sharing positive reactions. Shraddha Kapoor has now joined the list, sharing an enthusiastic review on social media and even urging the makers to bring forward the release of the sequel.
On Monday, Shraddha Kapoor took to her Instagram Stories to share her thoughts after watching Dhurandhar. Her post was light-hearted yet full of praise for the filmmaker and the film’s impact. She wrote, “Truly terrible of Aditya Dhar to make a film like Dhurandhar,” followed by, “and then make us wait three months for Part 2. Don’t play with our emotions, prepone the release please. What a phenomenal experience. Subah shoot nahi hoti toh kasam se abhi hi dobara dekhne jaati.” Shraddha also celebrated Hindi cinema’s strong year at the box office, adding, “Chhaava, Saiyaara, Dhurandhar — all in 2025 Hindi cinema.” Her comments were met with appreciation from Aditya Dhar, who responded warmly to her praise.

Meanwhile, Shraddha Kapoor also highlighted the challenges Dhurandhar faced before its release, including online criticism and alleged attempts to damage the film’s image. She wrote, “From Yami Gautam having to call out the rampant negative PR machinery to manufactured controversies, Dhurandhar endured it all and came out shining. No bad force can pull a good film down. In audiences, we trust.” Her statement echoed the sentiments of many fans who believe the film’s success proves that strong content can overcome negativity and misinformation.

Dhurandhar is inspired by real-life events and follows the story of an undercover spy who infiltrates the gang of Rehman Dakait in Lyari, Pakistan. On the other hand, the makers have already confirmed that Dhurandhar Part 2 will release on March 19, 2026, where it is expected to clash with Yash’s Toxic: A Fairytale for the Grown-Ups. Given the overwhelming response to the first film, anticipation for the sequel is already running high.
