Shraddha Kapoor Reacts To Stree 2 Overtaking Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan And Jawan; Hints At Aashiqui 3

Shraddha Kapoor is reveling in the phenomenal success of her latest film, Stree 2, which has not only shattered box office records but also outperformed Shah Rukh Khan's blockbuster hits, Pathaan and Jawan. Recently, she expressed her admiration for Shah Rukh Khan, calling him an outstanding leading man in the Indian film industry. Shraddha shared her thrill about being part of a project that has resonated so strongly with audiences. Also, the actress addressed the excitement surrounding Stree 2 and its impressive box office performance compared to SRK's films. When asked how it felt to eclipse such major hits, she responded with a blend of excitement and gratitude, reflecting her appreciation for the audience's support.

During the NDTV World Summit 2024, Shraddha said, "I have an absolutely fantastic leading man in our Indian film industry, Shah Rukh Khan, who I’ve grown up being a fan of. So, we’ll keep that where it belongs."

The Stree 2 actress conveyed her genuine excitement about being part of a project that has received significant acclaim, expressing joy and gratitude for the overwhelming support the film has garnered. She emphasised the importance of success in Hindi cinema, pointing out that while comparisons between films are common, any Hindi film performing well is beneficial for the entire industry. Shraddha noted that it’s not about overshadowing others, but rather about contributing to the collective growth and prosperity of Bollywood.

Shraddha Kapoor Hints At Aashiqui 3

Shraddha gained fame in Bollywood with her remarkable role in Aashiqui 2, which significantly boosted her career. Even after over a decade since its release, fans are eagerly anticipating a third installment in the franchise. While there’s no official word on when or if Aashiqui 3 will be made, Shraddha hasn’t dismissed the idea. Her openness to the possibility of a sequel has fans hopeful.

When asked about Aashiqui 3, Shraddha said, "Not that I know of. But because, I mean, I’m sure if the makers thought of a sequel, they would think of something very, very interesting. And, of course, Aashiqui gave me so much love, so much appreciation. The story, that’s the film where everything changed for me."

"I’m sure that if they do come up with something, it would be really, really awesome. And you know, if I feel like it is something challenging for me as an actor, something different for me to do, I would be open to it."

Released in 2013, Aashiqui 2 made a significant impact on Bollywood storytelling and music. Directed by Mohit Suri, the film starred Aditya Roy Kapur alongside Shraddha Kapoor.
