Sikandar Advance Sales: Sikandar is predicted to be a huge box office success this Eid, and anticipation for the Hindi action movie is only increasing as the release date draws near.

Sikandar, Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna's eagerly awaited movie, had a robust start to advance bookings. Over 67374 seats were sold in a few hours, and the Hindi 2D version alone brought in Rs 1.93 crore. With 9111 showings planned around India, the movie has made over Rs 6.11 crore in ticket sales, including blocked seats, as per sacnilk.

Sikandar witnessed 41.65 lakh tickets booked with Delhi leading the pack, followed by  Maharashtra (34.36 lakh) and Rajasthan (18.51 lakh). However, with only 2.3K tickets sold thus far, Himachal Pradesh has had the lowest sales. Distributors are optimistic that the movie would make about Rs 50 crore on its first weekend.

Sikandar began to trend on BookMyShow shortly after the producers opened advance sales. Additionally, it is capturing positive impressions on single screens and in other multiplex networks. Seeing how far Salman Khan starrer takes advance reservations will be intriguing.

Sikandar vs L2 Empuraan

Sikandar, which was directed by AR Murugadoss, is regarded as this year's biggest box office gamble in Hindi film. The action movie, which also stars Sathyaraj, Kajal Aggarwal and others, is anticipated to put an end to the superstar's tough period at the box office.

Sikandar will compete with Prithviraj Sukumaran's Malayalam action thriller L2: Empuraan for box office attention as it prepares for its Eid release. L2: Just a few days before Sikandar's release, Malayalam movie star Mohanlal's Empuraan is set to open in theaters on March 27. In a recent press conference, Prithviraj addressed worries about a possible box office conflict by stating that there is 'no competition' between the two movies.
