Television actor Aly Goni has expressed his concerns on social media after learning that his family in Jammu was directly impacted by the aerial attacks by Pakistan on May 8. As the cross-border unrest intensifies, the Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actor shared his distress about living in the border area. He further saluted the IAF and the Indian Army for successfully managing the situation. In his post, Aly Goni also criticised those people who have been ‘glorifying the war’ from the comfort zones of their homes on social media.
Aly Goni shared some pictures with his family on his Instagram profile and wrote, “Sleepless and shattered, stuck out of India as my family in jammu endures last night’s attack. My whole family, children, and parents face the terror of drones and unrest, yet some people glorify this war from the comfort of their homes, posting on social media. It’s not that easy for those near the border. Thanks to our IAF And Indian Army. Praying for safety and peace..”
His friends from the industry also commented on the post. Vikas (Vicky) Jain commented, “Bhai prayers.” Krishna Mukherjee said, “Prayers for everyone.” Mahi Vij wrote, “prayers and beyond.” Kishwer Merchantt said, “Prayers ..” Some fans also extended their wishes and prayers to the star. A fan said, “May Allah Be with you and everyone who are in trouble.” Another said, “Yes please pray for the Indian army and people living near borders.”
On May 8, Pakistan launched missiles and drones at several parts of India, including its northern and western regions. The affected parts include Jammu, Samba, Satwari, Udhampur, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Bikaner and Jaisalmer. Soon after this, the Indian Air Defence system intercepted the Pakistani aerial attacks. Later, there were power cuts in the places, which led to a blackout in the zones. Several celebrities like veteran actor Anupam Kher, stand-up comedian Samay Raina have also shared updates about their families back in Jammu and Kashmir.
